Blackfen and Lamorbey Councillors

Peter Craske

I am proud to have secured over £1m of investment to Blackfen and Lamorbey since becoming a Councillor.

I joined over 4,000 residents to campaign for the funding to create the new-look Parish Wood Park, and have been able to help many residents solve problems or tackle issues of concern.

As a resident of Blackfen and Lamorbey ward I use the same services as you, shop locally and am a member of our Community Library. Indeed, I was the Councillor who approved the library plans. I have supported Christmas events in Blackfen financially and have taken part in several community clean up days, clearing up litter from parks and our town centre.

I’m also proud that after plugging away for seven years and never letting go of the issue, we have rebuilt what was the broken pieces of Gloucester Parade.

If elected, I will continue to deliver real benefits for Blackfen and Lamorbey and for residents, as I’ve done for the last 16 years.

James Hunt

I have lived here locally in Blackfen all my life.  I went to school (Westwood) and college (Rose Bruford) here locally, got my first job here and still live here with my family (plus our springer spaniel Jasper). For a day job I work in the charity sector and I am Head of Fundraising for a national health charity. For the past 12 years I have represented local people as a Councillor and have championed local youth services, health and social care issues.  My oldest son recently joined Beavers, and I am proud to be Vice President of GLSE (Bexley & Bromley) Scouts. As a Councillor I care deeply about our community, I live here so why wouldn’t I?  I shop in our local shops, and drive on our roads, and so our area matters a lot to me as well.

Cafer Munur

Having been born & raised in Kidbrooke, I moved to Bexley where I have lived happily with my wife and two children.

I worked locally in the financial sector and have spent the last two years working alongside my wife in a healthcare clinic that we set up in Sidcup.

My experiences of living, working & bringing up my children in Bexley has helped me to help others as a Councillor for the last 4 years with many issues such as social care, housing, planning and school admissions. I’m also a governor on a local NHS Board.

If elected to represent the residents of Blackfen & Lamorbey I want to ensure that we get the best care from the NHS, we receive quality social care from all providers, our schools continue to perform well and that we see continued levels of regeneration that compliments local businesses and delivers new homes.
