I have lived in Bexley for over 45 years. My grandchildren attend local schools and my own children are happily settled in Bexley. I am involved in the local community through my charity work and proud to have represented Crayford ward as a Councillor. In addition with 20 years working in Health and Social Care and 25 years as volunteer Leader in the Girl Guides Association, I understand what matters to our residents. I also chair a local animal rescue charity looking after the welfare of domestic pets, birds and wildlife. I am passionate about Bexley, it’s one of the best London boroughs and I want to do all I can to ensure it remains an excellent place to live and work. I will continue to campaign on local issues and have a particular interest in Social Care, Education and protecting our vulnerable people both young and elderly.
I’m proud to have lived in Crayford my whole life – in fact I’m the sixth generation of my family to be able to call ourselves ‘Crayfordians’ – and am married with four grown up children & 9 grandchildren.
That experience of living in Crayford has been invaluable since 2006 when I was first elected to represent local residents. It also lead to my involvement in getting Haberdashers to open a very successful local school, the churchyard was extended, the view of Shenstone Park was opened up & we got a new doctors surgery, library (including post office) & Community Centre.
I’m proud to be involved with the Crayford Creek Restoration group & we hope to be able to welcome sailing barges and boats back into the Crayford Basin & to generate light industrial units on the creek edge.
If I’m successfully re-elected I will continue to try to improve the lives of Crayford residents & making Crayford a wonderful place to live.
I am self-employed within the Building Trade having moved to the Borough nearly 40 years ago. My wife was born in Crayford and works for the NHS. We live in the ward where we are lucky to have a large group of friends. Our children attended St. Paulinus Infants School. We now have Grandchildren who live locally and that is why Bexley is so important to me. I want to help shape a safe and secure environment for them and the community they live in.
I was first elected to represent Crayford in 2006 and I am pleased to see the investment that Crayford has seen which is defining its future.
I have a strong work ethic and have always felt genuinely privileged to be in a position to work for people, listening to them and working to help solve their issu
