Having been a Councillor for 16 years I believe I have a good idea of what the people of Bexley want and I have strived to carry out my beliefs i.e. safety, health needs, education and social care.
As a retired Police Officer I fought desperately hard to keep our police station and am up in arms about Mayor Khan’s proposed merger of Bexley Police.
I care for the people of Bexley and will always fight their cause. I have lived in Bexley for over 45 years and am honoured to be President of the Bexley UK Diabetic Support Group and Trustee of the Freemantle Hall.
Bexley is a thriving London Borough with great future potential for growth, economically sound and well regarded amongst the other London Borough as being an example of good management.
I am proud to be part of this Council and will be happy to use my life experience to help in its achievements.
I have been a Councillor for twelve years and represented St Mary’s Ward since 2014 and I am currently the Cabinet Member for Traffic & Transport. I live in Welling with my family and I was educated at Welling School. I believe that being a Councillor is about Public Service especially helping those that are less fortunate. I am a strong supporter of the Police and believe there should be more on the Streets, I support choice in education especially Grammar Schools and believe that both National and Local Government should empower people to take control of their own lives. I also support lower taxes and believe that people can best look after their own hard earned money better than Government or Councils. Locally I have helped on issues ranging from waste and recycling, the public realm in Bexley Village, businesses in the Village, housing, highways, greenbelt and planning matters.
